COVID-19 claims two more lives at Jubilee Lodge

PRINCE GEORGE — Northern Health has confirmed that two more patients at Jubilee Lodge have passed away due to COVID-19 over the weekend.

That brings the total number of deaths there to 14 since the outbreak began on December 12.

Since that time 48 residents and 13 staff have tested positive for the virus.

Five people in total died due to complications related to COVID-19 over the weekend in Northern Health, bringing the death toll to 42.

There are 497 active cases of the virus in Northern Health, 44 people are hospitalized – 16 of whom are in critical care.

A total of 2,560 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in northern B.C. since the pandemic began, 2006 people have recovered.
