PG Royal Purple getting low on Hospital Kits

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Royal Purple has been part of the fabric of our community for 75 years.

This year they have been asked to create ten times the number of hospital kits this year.

Each year close to 20 members of the Prince George Royal Purple meet at the Elks Hall to assemble 50 hospital kits that include various toiletries. This year the society can not meet the request as many of its members have been drastically affected by COVID and donations are down.

Typically the group creates an assembly line and fills zip lock bags, but with Provincial Health Orders in place, this makes building kits difficult.

According to Lynda Nolan member of the Prince George Royal Purple #48, there is an increase of out town patients at UHNBC that typically use their kits.
