PRINCE GEORGE – Hark! All history buffs! Exploration Place is making it much easier to access its collection.

While the doors remain closed to any in-person visits, it has launched a new data server, giving the public much easier access to its collections and to the collections of other historic organizations.

“For anyone who has used our old database system, you already know just how nice it is to be able to peruse our collection from the comfort of your own couch. This new database will completely up our game with new tech, new interfaces and new partners’ collections available as well,” says Tracy Calogheros, CEO of the Exploration Place.

Once only able to access the local collection, those interested are able to tap into the collections of seven cultural Partners: the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum, Huble Homestead, Mackenzie Museum, Valley Museum and Archives, Valemount Museum, Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, and Two Rivers Gallery.
