PRINCE GEORGE — With the number of COVID-19 cases rising in the North, Northern Health is reminding people what to do if a co-worker, classmate or someone else close to you comes down with the virus.
Dr. Rakel Kling says the first thing you should do is self-monitor for symptoms. She says a public health officer will contact you if you are deemed to be a close contact of someone whose developed covid-19.
A close contact is defined as someone you’ve spent more than 15 minutes with and within six feet. If you do develop symptoms, she says you should stay at home.
