PRINCE GEORGE – Another huge blow to the forestry industry in Prince George, as Canfor has announced that it will be permanently closing the Northwood Pulp Mill operation in Prince George with approximately 300 people being directly impacted. Plus the closure of Canfor’s Northwood Pulp Mill has prompted an outpouring of concern from industry leaders, government officials and community stakeholders. And the annual Billy Barker Days event in Quesnel is set to begin on July 16 and take place until July 19.
