First wildfire within the PG Fire Centre

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Fire Centre has had its first wildfire of the season.

The Farrell Creek Junction Wildfire Northeast of Hudson’s Hope was reported on Sunday, April 11th.

It was determined to be human-caused and started by a campfire that got away in heavy wind. It is currently at 4.5 hectares and listed as under control.

A unit crew is on-site, and no other resources are required at this time.
