Washouts and muddy sections affect some Cariboo highways over the weekend

PRINCE GEORGE — A heads up to drivers if they’re heading through certain roadways in the Cariboo.

Nearly 60 km east of Quesnel on Highway 26, muddy sections have closed the road in both directions with no detour available. B.C. Drive’s next update is due May 14.

Meanwhile, a washout at Bells Lake Road west of Horsefly over the weekend has resulted in single lane alternating traffic with an update due later Monday (May 3).
