Nearly $10K in tires stolen in Fort St. James

Fort St. James — Mounties in Fort St. James are investigating the theft of several tires.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says they learned of the thefts just before 11:30 a.m. on April 26.

“It was reported that numerous tires had been stolen sometime during the weekend from the Kal Tire location in the community,” she says.

“Eight 775 Bridgestone tires, 11 225 BLSS tires, and two tires on rims had been stolen. The value of the property is taken is almost $10,000.”

She says video surveillance shows a man, and two pickup trucks, believed to be responsible for the theft.
