100 Mile House man arrested after allegedly breaking into a bank

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — A 27-year-old man remains in custody after allegedly breaking into the Bank of Montreal (BMO) on Alder Avenue in 100 Mile House.

RCMP responded to the alarm Friday (June 4) morning, where an officer noticed broken glass. The officer was then advised of a complaint near the Donex Pharmacy on Birch Avenue. The man was located on the ground with drug paraphernalia.

The man was arrested for break and enter, and possession of stolen property. 100 Mile House RCMP said they found a stamp belonging to BMO, and several BMO envelopes in his backpack. Police said the man has been previously arrested for similar events in 100 Mile House.

100 Mile House RCMP said if anything appears suspicious or out of the ordinary to contact the detachment at 250-395-2456.
