PRINCE GEORGE – Cevanna Carlson, a UNBC Timberwolves Women’s Basketball player, was heartbroken to learn about the discovery of 215 Indigenous children in unmarked graves.

The Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc band confirmed on May 27, 2021 it has found the remains of 215 children buried on the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.

The team’s social media accounts posted a heartfelt video this week, where Carlson reflects on where those children may have been today and the impact of intergenerational trauma.
