Province stepping up access to vaccine in Peace region
PRINCE GEORGE – The vaccination rates in the B.C. Peace region are behind the rest of the province by nearly 10 percentage points and have been over recent weeks.
The majority of the province is sitting at or above 70 percent of people with at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while the peace sits below 60 percent.
MLA’s Dan Davies and Mike Bernier have been open in saying the lack of access to the vaccine has been one of the biggest factors playing into the low numbers.
Now the province is stepping up efforts with over a dozen members of the BC CDC team putting on drive-thru clinics, and extending hours of mass vaccination clinics.
