Evacuation order and expanded alert issued for Grizzly Lake wildfire

PRINCE GEORGE — The Grizzly Lake wildfire has prompted an evacuation order and an expanded alert effective 7 p.m. tonight.

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN) has issued the order for south east of the 900 and 800 Road including Naltesby Lake and Little Bobtail Lake.

An expanded evacuation alert for southeast of the Bobtail Connector and Bobtail FSR to the 900 and 800 Road.

The BC Wildfire Service estimates the lighting-caused fire has grown to 2,800 hectares in size.
