YXS to stop waiving short-term parking fees next month

PRINCE GEORGE–The Prince George Airport Authority says it’s going to change its short-term parking fees starting next month.

The airport says that starting on August 15th, they will no longer be waiving short-term parking fees for those who remain with their vehicles.

The rule first went into effect in March 2020 as a way to promote social distancing.

Those who park in the short-term parking will need to start paying the rate of two dollars an hour.

The airport is asking for drivers to use the pay by plate machines the terminal to avoid getting a ticket.
