Area restrictions continue for Cutoff Creek, Grizzly Lake and Klawli Lake fires

PRINCE GEORGE – As fires continue to burn across the province, three area restrictions remain in the Prince George Fire Centre.

Cutoff Creek, Grizzly Lake and Klawli Lake all still currently have an area restriction.

As far as the rest of the province is concerned, Mount Porter now has an expanded evacuation alert.

Here is the updated information on wildfires across B.C.:

* 417,694 hectares burnt

* Active fires by fire centre:

* Kamloops: 88

* Northwest: 4

* Firefighters and other personnel fighting the fires: 3,558 (total, includes out-of-province and aerial support)

* Out-of-province firefighters: 208

* Helicopters and planes supporting ground crews: 190

Evacuations:

* Evacuation orders: 61 (+3)

* Evacuation alerts: 85

* Properties:

* Number of properties on order: 3,713 (-547)

* Number of properties on alert: 18,234 (+550)

* Orders and alerts by Emergency Management BC region:

* Vancouver Island Central Coast: 0

* Northwest: 2 orders and 5 alerts

* Northeast: 3 orders and 15 alerts

* Central: 48 (+3) orders and 55 alerts

* Southeast: 8 orders and 8 alerts

* Southwest: 0 orders and 2 alerts
