Evacuation alert issued for Cutoff Creek fire

VANDERHOOF — The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN) has issued an evacuation alert for the Cutoff Creek fire.

It covers the area approximately 8 kilometres south of Brophy Road along the Kenney Dam Road and the Nechako River for approximately 22 kilometres.

The lightning-caused Cutoff Creek fire was discovered July 2 and is currently being mapped at 20,065 hectares.
