PRINCE GEORGE — A local church has been vandalized.

Prince George RCMP say Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Patricia Boulevard was vandalized late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

“Frontline members attended the location and saw the words Every Child M spray-painted on their doors. Investigators believe the vandalism occurred between 11 p.m. Tuesday night and 1 a.m. on Wednesday,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Police are looking for any witnesses to this crime or for anyone who might know the individual or individuals involved. If there is anyone in the area who was surveillance or noticed unusual activity around the church between those hours, please contact the RCMP at (250)561-3300.”

She says police are continuing to do proactive patrols around places of worship in Prince George to curb the ongoing vandalism. Additionally, some churches have taken the extra step of hiring private security to conduct their own patrols.

This isn’t the first time this church has been hit by vandals this summer. As CKPG Today reported earlier this month, there was a string of churches vandalized in June and July.
