PRINCE GEORGE – The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charges against 38-year-old Kelowna resident, Calvin Albert Jones, in relation to the police event from August 30:

– Forcible confinement

– Assault by Choking, Suffocating, or Strangling

– Assault – Assault with a Weapon

– Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Uttering Threats x2

– Possession of Weapon

– Mischief Under $5000

Mr. Jones will remain in custody until a court appearance later this month. Mr. Jones has a history of similar violent offenses.

“Investigators are releasing these details due to the violent nature of this offense and the concern that Mr. Jones may have other victims in the area. If you have been a victim of a violent offence involving Mr. Jones, you can contact police by calling 250-561-3300 to speak with a police officer,” states Cpl. Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
