Evacuation alert rescinded for Cutoff Creek wildfire

PRINCE GEORGE — Good news on the wildfire front.

The evacuation alert issued on August 23 for the Cutoff Creek fire has been rescinded.

The alert had covered the area from approximately 60 kilometres south along the Kenney Dam Road to the 500 Road, then approximately 30 kilometres southeast to the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako border.

From there, it followed the border for 37 kilometres, before heading northeast to the west end of Frank Lake and back to the Kenny Dam Road.
