PRINCE GEORGE– The COVID-19 pandemic is still in full effect and with Trick-or-Treaters set to go out on Sunday night, it sparks the question of what safety precautions kids and parents will take this year.

There are many ways to celebrate the spooky Holliday, whether that’s trick-or-treating or hosting a costume party but Northern Health would like to remind you that we are still in a pandemic and you can still have fun while staying safe.

Whether that’s bringing hand sanitizer with you while Trick-or-Treating or limiting your gatherings when hosting a Halloween party, there are simple steps you can take to stay safe this year. And although facial coverings aren’t required outdoors while trick or treating, many people have gotten creative with masks in the past.

Many people are planning to go trick-or-treating this year however a new leger poll suggests people may find fewer doors opening than usual. CKPG also polled local residents asking what their plans are, with most saying they will be collecting candy with their kids and also giving away goodies in plastic bags as well as social distancing.

Whether you stay in or go out this year make sure to stay safe and have a Happy Halloween.
