Cougars’ win streak ends with 4-1 loss to Blazers
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars’ five-game winning streak came to an end Saturday (Oct. 30) at the CN Centre.
Riley Heidt’s third goal of the season was able to tie the Cougars’ game against the Kamloops Blazers late in the first period, but the Blazers were able to lock it down in the final 40 minutes. Kamloops outscored Prince George 3-0 and outshot them 31-15.
However, the Cougars exit October with a winning record: 5-4-0 on the young Western Hockey League season, good for 10 points in nine games and second in the B.C. Division.
The Cougars travel to Langley on Friday (Nov. 5) to take on the Vancouver Giants.
