Winter Classic set to return in January 2022

PRINCE GEORGE – The stage is set and a classic is returning to the North, and make it a winter classic at that.

January 22nd and 23rd, 2022, are the dates for Cariboo Hockey’s outdoor games, with both the Cougars and Northern Capitals U18 teams participating. The Northern Capitals will play a weekend doubleheader against the Fraser Valley Rush. Game one is being played in Vanderhoof on Saturday afternoon and their 2nd annual outdoor game is to be played on the Ernie Sam Memorial Arena on Sunday.

The Cariboo Cougars will be hosting the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds that weekend, Saturday night puck drop on the Ernie Sam Memorial Arena and Sunday the game will be played in the Fort Forum.

This weekend is the most highly anticipated games for Cariboo Hockey, with many hours spent by volunteers to make this possible.
