Cougars fall to Rockets on back-to-back nights, shutout 3-0
PRINCE GEORGE — Home cooking wasn’t on the menu for the Prince George Cougars at CN Centre over the weekend.
After a comeback attempt fell short on Friday’s (Nov. 12) game against the Kelowna Rockets, the Cougars were shutout in the rematch on Saturday (Nov. 13) 3-0.
Cougars goaltender Tyler Brennan kept his team the game, making 30 saves on 32 shots, but goals from Andrew Cristall and Max Graham in the second period is all Kelowna would need to secure the second win. Ethan Samson and Koehn Ziemmer led the Cougars with four shots on goal.
The Cougars fell to 6-9 on the 2021-22 Western Hockey League season, good for 12 points in 15 games and sixth in the Western Conference.
