Fatal crash claims a life on Highway 16 near Fraser Lake

FRASER LAKE — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 16 near Fraser Lake.

RCMP say it happened at approximately 3:45 p.m yesterday (Nov.16) on the highway near Dry William Lake Road.

“Upon arrival, it was determined that a head-on collision occurred between a westbound transport truck and an eastbound passenger vehicle,” says Cpl. Mike Halskov.

“The lone occupant of the eastbound vehicle, a woman in her fifties, died at the scene. The driver of the transport truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.”
