PRINCE GEORGE – Inspiring Women Among Us is back for its sixth year.

Back in 2015, when the event was in its first year, Co-Organizer Zoe Meletis wanted to build on the message from the shocking massacre at Ecole Polytechnique in 1989.

“The idea was to extend the conversation, to get people thinking about gender and gender relations for more than a couple of hours.”

In previous events, there have been themes, such as women in leadership, women in the media, and women in science. This year’s theme is “Critique, Renewal, and Celebration: Feminism, the Arts, and More Inclusive Post-COVID Futures”

Events run daily, until November 24th, some in-person and some online. For a full list of events, go to bit.ly/iwau2021, and Zoom links can be found at iwau.ca/iwau2021
