Northern Health now has 507 active COVID-19 cases

Northern BC- The provincial COVID-19 case count continue to drop as BC saw 324 new cases, 73 of which were found in the North. This is 14 fewer than yesterday (Tuesday), when the province reported 338 cases.

Another two deaths have been reported in Northern Health, as the regional death toll is now 238. Across BC, seven more deaths were reported, as now 2,281 virus-related deaths have been reported.

Meanwhile, 507 of BC’s 3,380 active cases are in the North. Currently, 47 people are hospitalized in the North, 18 of whom are in ICU.

From November 9-15, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 60.8% of cases and from November 2-15, they accounted for 71.9% of hospitalizations. 90.7% of eligible people 12 and older have received their first dose of vaccine and 86.9% have received their second dose.
