PRINCE GEORGE- A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Laurier Manor assisted living facility in Prince George. Two cases have been identified among facility residents.

As a result, social visits to the facility will be temporarily suspended and activity programs will be placed on hold. Essential visits can continue.

Everyone that has tested positive for the virus and their close contacts have been asked to self-isolate in their units, and common rooms have been closed. Northern Health says all Laurier Manor residents and staff are being closely monitored for symptoms.

The outbreak declaration will be in place for at least 28 days.
