Mixed Reactions to Emergency Vanderhoof Alert

PRINCE GEORGE– Although yesterday’s active shooting event occurred almost 100 kilometers away from Prince George, locals still received an emergency alert warning them of what was going on.

Some people were worried, others were confused, but many felt it was a good idea to receive the emergency alert letting them know there was an active shooter in Vanderhoof.

The provincial representative for the Vanderhoof area was in Victoria when the shots rang out, however, he called his co-workers letting them know to shut off the lights and be cautious.
