Laing, Pulzhnikov clinch TWolves’ Canada West school records
PRINCE GEORGE – A pair of UNBC Timberwolves have pushed their names to the top of the school’s record books when it comes to their history playing in Canada West.
Vova Pulzhnikov needed just three assists to pass Hames Agyeman for most in UNBC’s Canada West history. In Friday’s tilt against the undefeated UBC Thunderbirds, the Ukrainian guard tallied five. Agyeman, a former teammate of Pulzhnikov, held the record with 213 during his time in the Green and Gold, playing from 2015 to 2019.
Meanwhile, Prince George’s own Tyrell Laing needed just 10 points to pass Rhys Elliott for most in UNBC’s Canada West history. The Australian-born guard scored 934 in his time with the Timberwolves from 2014 to 2017.
