Public health orders on gatherings revised and extended in Northern Health

NORTHERN BC- The public health orders for the North have been updated and revised. According to Northern Health, this change reflects the ongoing risk of COVID-19 and the rates of transmission.

The updated orders will remain in place until at least January 31, 2022, and allow for:

  • Up to 10 fully vaccinated people inside personal residences (increased from 5) and up to 25 outside (increased from 15)
  • Increasing capacity for indoor seated events, including weddings, funerals and theatre and performing arts events, to 50% of capacity venue (increased from 50-person cap) with proof of vaccination
  • Increasing outdoor event capacity to 50% (increase from 100-person cap) with proof of vaccination
  • Worship services allowed to be held as drive-in services, in addition to virtual options

Health officials will continue to monitor COVID-19 activity and the impact it has on Northern health care resources leading up to January 31.
