Dec 3, 2021 | 4:45 PM

HOUSTON- The Prince George RCMP contacted the Houston detachment shortly before 2:00 pm yesterday (Thursday) after hearing reports that a PG man allegedly discharged a firearm at a Houston residence.

Officers in Houston arrived at the residence shortly after the report was made. All occupants inside the house immediately exited at the police’s request and it was determined that the suspect who fired the weapon had fled on foot prior to arrival.

A search of the home showed evidence that a firearm had been recently discharged inside. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

Police have identified the suspect as Sakanisin “Scotty” Charlie-Tom and a warrant for his arrest has been issued. Anyone that comes into contact with the man is being asked to call 9-1-1 and not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Charlie-Tom is described as:

  • 30 years old
  • 5’9 (175cms)
  • 209 pounds (95 kgs)
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Facial Tattoo

“We don’t feel that there is a threat to the public at this time, as this is believed to be a targeted offence. The suspect and those involved were known to each other said Houston RCMP Detachment Commander, Sergeant Mark Smaill However, we have concerns that he may be traveling to other areas, and the firearm is still not accounted for.
