Duchess Park celebrates BC Double-A Championship with banner-raising assembly

PRINCE GEORGE – The Duchess Park Condors hadn’t done it since 1999, but on Saturday the senior boys’ volleyball team managed to put themselves at the top of the province.

They are the Double-A boys volleyball provincial champions. In the final game, taking on the Langley Christian Lightning, the Condors dropped the first set 22-25 but then rallied to win the second, third, and fourth by scores of 25-10, 25-19, and 25-21 to win the BC banner Saturday evening in Victoria.

Chris Zimmerman led the surge from the libero position, leading to him being named tournament MVP.
