Northern Omicron case count remains at one

NORTHERN BC- The province reported 302 cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant of concern, only one has been identified in Northern Health. Vancouver Coastal Health and Island Health continue to be hit hardest by this variant, seeing 93 and 145, respectively.

This comes as BC reported a staggering 789 total cases, 39 of which were identified in the north. This brought the provincial active case count to 4,313 while Northern Health’s is 239. BC’s death toll increased by 3, one of the deaths were reported in the north.
