Prince George RCMP nab B&E suspect

PRINCE GEORGE- Police responded to a break-and-enter shortly after 1:30 am on Monday. The Prince George RCMP were called to a business on the 1500 block of 20 Avenue and located a man matching the description just a few blocks from the break-and-enter.

Police identifed the suspect as Edward Brookfield, who is known to police. The 36-year-old is being charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offense, and will remain in custody until his next court appearance.

“Our quick police response enabled investigators to identify and arrest a suspect within a short time after the initial report of the break-and-enter. This is a great example of the hard work our officers to do keep our community safe,” stated Corporal Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.
