PRINCE GEORGE — A record low temperature in Prince George today.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Gregg Walters says this morning’s low of minus 39.9 degrees broke the previous record low temperature of minus 37.8 degrees set this day in 1971.

He says things could get a bit colder this afternoon before some cloud drifts in tomorrow morning, increasing the temperature slightly.

“It (temperature) will still be well below normal, but not as cold as today,” he told CKPG News.
