PRINCE GEORGE – The UNBC Timberwolves will now have a few more days to prepare for their matchup on the court this Sunday against the UBC Thunderbirds.

Canada West announced Wednesday seven basketball games originally scheduled for this weekend in B.C. will be postponed.

The University of Victoria Vikes women’s and men’s teams, the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds women’s team, and the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat men’s team will not have the minimum number of players available to safely compete due to COVID-19 related protocols.

UBC and UVic were to visit UBCO and the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves at separate times throughout the weekend. Currently, there are no reschedule dates selected.

The UBC and UNBC men’s game on Sunday, Jan. 16 will go ahead as planned. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. at the Charles Jago Northern Sports Centre.
