New Hazelton RCMP searching for missing hearing impaired girl

NEW HAZELTON- Police in New Hazelton are requesting the public’s help in locating 15-year-old Samara Tait-Shanoss. She has not been seen since yesterday (Tuesday).

New Hazelton RCMP received a report of a missing person after family discovered she was not home and they have been unable to locate her. Police have checked multiple places that Tait-Shanoss may be but search attempts have been unsuccessful.

Samara Tait-Shanoss is described as

• Indigenous female
• 15 years old
• Hearing impairment
• Uses lip reading
• Is known to hitchhike
