Funding is available for cleaner, stronger communities.
PRINCE GEORGE – Areas of the world continue to experience climate change. Our region has felt extreme heat waves in the summer to the flash freeze weather event recently. To help combat the changing climate, communities across the province will be receiving government funding.
In less than 24 hours, Prince George experienced a drastic temperature change. From an above temperature of five to a rapid drop to minus -15. On Tuesday, the governments of Canada and British Columbia have committed a combined investment of as much as $134 million.
To date, the total investment is more than $240 million for local projects that increase clean energy and energy efficiency in buildings, transportation, and other community-owned infrastructure.
