Feb 3, 2022 | 10:35 AM

PRINCE GEORGE – In just three days, a champion will be crowned at the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay, Ont., and that team will instantly turn its thoughts to Prince George.

The Scotties winner, of course, will be the home team at the 2022 BKT Tires & OK Tire World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Nature’s Bounty, March 19-27 at the CN Centre in Prince George.

As of Thursday (Feb. 3), fans can not only start buying single-draw tickets, they can also buy tickets to see all of Team Canada’s games as the schedule has now been confirmed by the World Curling Federation.

Team Canada will play four times on the opening weekend — twice on Saturday, March 19, and twice on Sunday, March 20, including a marquis matchup on the Sunday night against reigning world champions Switzerland.

Canada also has a big day on Wednesday, March 23, with showdowns against traditional powerhouses Sweden and Scotland, and will close out the round robin on the Friday night, March 25, against RCF, which won silver at the 2021 World Women’s Championship in Calgary.

Single-draw tickets start at $17.50.

Here’s a look at what is available beginning today:

  • $17.50 – Non-Team Canada round-robin games
  • $25.00 – Select Team Canada round-robin games
  • $29.95 – Premium Team Canada round-robin games
  • $35.25 – Canada’s final round-robin game against RCF; playoff qualification draw; and semifinal draws.
  • $45 – Gold-medal final

All prices are per ticket and, other than the youth tickets, are subject to standard facility and ticket service fees. Youths under the age of 18 years of age will be admitted free with the purchase of an adult ticket; the offer is valid for Draws 1 to 17. All draws after that are $15 (fees and taxes included) for those under 18.

Other options include:

  • Monday through Thursday day packages at $59.
  • Opening weekend package at $99.
  • Championship weekend package at $199.

Full-event packages are also still available.

Ticket offers will be available online www.curling.ca/2022worldwomen/tickets, at the CN Centre box office, or by calling 1-888-293-6613. All ticket packages are subject to standard ticket service fees.

Leading up to the 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship, Curling Canada will be in regular contact with local, regional and national health authorities to ensure the safest possible environment for athletes, volunteers and fans at the CN Centre, as well as the host community.

As per Curling Canada’s announcement earlier this season, all fans, athletes, volunteers and event staff will need to provide proof of full vaccination to get inside the CN Centre. You can view the full Curling Canada mandatory vaccination policy by CLICKING HERE.
