Province of BC relaunches “Is Not Yes” campaign to help prevent sexualized violence and assault
PRINCE GEORGE– “Is Not Yes”
That is the name of the campaign being relaunched by the B.C. Government reminding post-secondary students about the culture of consent. The goal was to re-launch it to coincide with on-campus student orientation at the beginning of each semester. CNC is one of those post-secondary schools that always takes part in the campaign that was first launched back in March of 2021.
As Shelley Carter-Rose, Vice President of Student Affairs, says safety for the students is the college’s #1 priority and they have many measures and resources in place if students do feel uncomfortable or something does happen. Whether that’s talking online, in-person, or over the phone.
