Avalanche Danger

Avalanche Danger at high

Feb 4, 2022 | 4:08 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – Many mountain tops and valley bottoms recently received a fresh layer of snow.

Over the past few days, stormy conditions from north of Chetwynd to south Clearwater have forced Avalanche Canada to forecast these areas to be in the high avalanche danger rating.

They ask backcountry enthusiasts to use extra caution if they find more than 15 cm of new snow.

The avalanche danger will stay high as the temperatures remain above the freezing mark.
