PRINCE GEORGE — Déjà vu for the Prince George Cougars.

For the second time this weekend, Carter MacAdams scored in the final seconds to end the Vancouver Giants’ shutout bid – this time putting back the rebound off the post – but the Cougars fell at CN Centre again 3-1.

After a scoreless first period, the Giants scored twice to take a 2-0 lead heading into the third period. Cougars goaltender Tyler Brennan made 21 saves to give his team a chance to get back into it.

The Cougars are winless in five games, falling to 18-25-2-1 on the 2021-22 Western Hockey League season. However, their 39 points are still good for sixth in the Western Conference and third in the B.C. Division.

Prince George visits the Kelowna Rockets on Wednesday (Feb. 16).
