Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser surpasses goal of $25,000

PRINCE GEORGE–Prince George’s 7th annual Coldest Night of the year took place on Saturday night.

The fundraiser saw many residents come out and raise money for people in need around the city. Over 100 walkers participated in the 5km walk to help raise money for the less fortunate.

The goal set was $25,000 however at the end of the night close to $29,000 was raised. The money goes toward various things whether that’s helping homeless shelters with supplies or helping someone get off the streets into their own place with furniture and essentials.
