Mar 2, 2022 | 5:05 PM
PRINCE GEORGE – The sport of Rugby here in British Columbia was once extremely popular with young female athletes. However, due to the pandemic, BC Rugby has noticed a considerable drop in the number of girls registered in its programs.
Coinciding with International Women’s Day on March 8th, BC Rugby Clubs from Campbell River to Fort St John will host a Girls Can Rugby Day, which is essentially a free tryout welcoming girls aged 5-14 to get a taste of what the sport is all about.
The Prince George Youth Rugby Association will be one of the participating organizations.
