Celebration of life for Andrea Johnson set for March 26

PRINCE GEORGE—A celebration of life for the late Andrea Johnson has been set for March 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. It will take place at the Canfor Theatre at UNBC.

Andrea suddenly passed on January 31, 2022 and left an everlasting impact in the community. She served as a champion within the northern B.C. community.

Andrea was born and raised on a farm near Consort, Alberta. Eventually she moved and settled down in northern B.C. Andrea joined UNBC as a communications officer in 2015, making lifelong contributions to the community. She worked behind the scenes on many University projects, events, and initiatives.

Andrea came from a strong journalism background and held excellent relationships with media outlets in the community. She previously worked as an editor at the Quesnel Cariboo Observer and as a reporter at the Prince George Citizen. She also served as a communications officer at the College of New Caledonia.
