1697s First Responders Rugby Team hosting fundraiser event

PRINCE GEORGE – Two years ago, Adam Gordon was looking to piece together a rugby team made up entirely of local first responders.

However, within months, the COVID-19 pandemic rolled in and put a stop to his plans, forcing him to put the passion project on the backburner.

Now, with restrictions lifted, 1697s Rugby is ready to go.

To fund their trip to the Honour House Cup, a fundraising event in support of the Honour House Society, the team is needing some help.

This Sunday, the team will be putting on a fundraiser at the Westwood Pub in Prince George, with funds going to help the team cover the cost of their women’s team uniforms and travel costs.
