Positive COVID cases detected within Team Japan

PRINCE GEORGE – Update: Japan will forfeit its final round-robin game against Korea this afternoon, due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

The remaining players did test negative but have decided out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of other players, the team will not play against Korea.

Korea will now receive an automatic victory.

Previous: Following rapid antigen testing on Friday morning, Team Japan have returned a number of positive COVID-19 results.

The World Curling Federation has said impacted individuals are now isolating and following local health authority guidelines.
