Third-seed Canada to face sixth-seed Denmark in playoff-qualifier

PRINCE GEORGE — Kerri Einarson’s Team Canada secured their spot as one of the top six teams on Friday morning following their 8-5 victory over Germany at the World Women’s Curling Championships.

Einarson improved to 9-3 by the end of the day, defeating the Czech Republic in their final match of the round robin.

With the Draw Shot Challenge, Canada missed out on the 2nd seed spot and a bye to the semi-finals by 0.27 centimetres. They scored 37.69cm while the Koreans scored 37.42cmCN.

With the playoff-qualifiers set to be played on Saturday, Canada will take on Calgarian-coach Heather Rogers and her Team Denmark in a match of the 3rd and 6th seeds.
