POUCE COUPE — Mounties are seeking information from the public after a youth escaped after being abducted Wednesday night (March 30) in Pouce Coupe.

Dawson Creek RCMP say the youth had been riding a bicycle in the area of 47th Avenue and Railroad Road between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and two men put the victim and bicycle in the van.

“The van drove around before the victim managed to escape the van, rode the bicycle home, and made the call to the police. It appears that the victim was not physically harmed,” says North District Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.

Police describe the van as a newer blue utility van with no sliding doors and centre opening rear doors with no windows. The suspect is described as white, 25-30 years old, with dyed purple hair and a distinctive black dragon tattoo on his forearm. There is no description available of the other suspect but is believed to be a man.
