Apr 4, 2022 | 4:53 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – After 45 years in broadcasting, Radio King Douglas Jones, will be hanging up his mic to kick back on his bike and ride the wobbly pop waves of life.

” This morning we announced that Jen and Logan were going to be taking over the morning show” explains Doug Jones, morning show host for REWIND Radio. ” I decided I was going to retire because I can still move and I wanted to go exploring and that kind of thing.”

Jones has been with Pattison media for nearly 38 years, he originally planned on staying in PG for a short time but ended up finding his beautiful bride here and settling down with a family.

Jones says he will miss many things about his job including sharing the airwaves with listeners in the morning.

“What I will miss and it sounds so cliche but, it is the people.” “All the people that have come through here, there have been hundreds of talented people that have come through Prince George, like I thought I was going to do. Oh, ya I’ll be here for a year or two, and boom they’ve gone off. I stayed and have a wonderful family, met a really hot wife, and it’s been a lot of fun. That’s why I stayed it was the hot wife.”

The new morning show on Rewind Radio begins on April 22 nd and will be hosted by Jen Grier and Logan Middleton. They both agree they have some big shoes to fill.

“On April 22nd we will be taking over the morning show that Doug Jones has been holding for some people’s entire lives, literally’ Said Logan Middleton, co-host of the new Rewind Morning show “Like [sic], some people from the day they were born, they’ve been listening to Doug Jones. So, big shoes to fill.

Finally, Jones shares a highlight that he will certainly miss on his way out.

” The highlight for me would be the toilet paper. We have the softest toilet paper here ever, and, and the free coffee”
