Arrest made following Burns Lake shooting
BURNS LAKE — Mounties in Burns Lake have arrested one person in connection with a shooting in that community on Sunday, April 3.
As CKPG reported earlier this week, the shooting occurred shortly after 11 that morning at a home on the 2500 block of Freeport Road. When police arrived on scene, they located an adult woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
RCMP say an adult man was arrested on Wednesday (April 6) without incident and remains in custody pending his next court appearance today (April 8).
Police say at this time they believe that everyone involved are known to each other and that there is no greater risk to the public.
